Abohar Free eye check-up camp: More than 400 patients were examined by a team led by Dr SL Chalana and Dr Gagan Chalana during the free eye check-up and operation camp that was organised by the Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Ltd (IffCO) under the aegis of Kisan Welfare Trust in village Jandwala Hanwanta on Sunday. Legislator Sunil Jakhar was the chief guest. He lauded the organisation for having benefited over 5000 persons during such camps in rural areas of the sub-division. Dodge ball tourney: Amrit Model School and Brahmarishi Mission School teams have been declared as winners in the Under-19 category for girls and boys respectively in the district dodge ball tournament organised by the education department, Sunit Kalra informed today. Bathinda St Joseph’s Convent wins poster-making contest: Binay Pal of the St.Joseph's Convent School clinched the first prize in the poster-making competition that was held at local RB DAV Senior Secondary Public School here on Saturday. Painting their thoughts in effective and vibrant ways, Deepu Wilson and Banmeet Singh got second prizes while Daksh Mittal and Rajesh Kumar bagged third prizes. Meanwhile, Parin of the Delhi Public School got a special prize. Giving details, principal of the school Dr Satwant Bhullar said about 20 schools participated in the competition and District Education Officer (Secondary) Harbans Singh Sandhu was the chief guest. |
