Illegal building demolished

A two-storeyed building at Shastri Nagar, which was being constructed without getting the plan sanctioned by the MC, was demolished here today. Though the owners protested, MC workers demolished the structure with the help of the police.

Rs 30 crore for 55 veterinary hospitals

Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development Minister Gulzar Singh Ranike said in the new budget year, Rs 30 crores would be spent on construction of modern infrastructure of 55 veterinary hospitals to enable them to give better facilities for the welfare of animals in the state.

Redress panel settles 46 complaints

The first meeting of the district grievances redressal committee was held here yesterday. The DC, Rahul Tiwari, presided over the meeting in which 46 complaints were redressed. A complaint regarding the non-availability of flour and pulses was put forward to which the DC ordered that the checking of all depots would be done within a month and action would be taken against those guilty.
