Vendetta politics, or settling scores with political opponents by the party in power, is not a new phenomenon, and deputy speaker of Punjab Assembly Sat Pal Gosain might not have anything to do with it during the past three years when the SAD-BJP government assumed power in the state. But his plea for bringing the politics of hate and vengeance to an end has come as a big surprise in political circles here.

Major revamp of police districts
