A two-and-a-half-year-old girl was killed after a CTU bus hit scooter of her father near the Mani Majra bus stand here this afternoon.The Mani Majra police registered a case against the driver of the CTU bus no CH01G1 7121 under Sections 279, 337, 304A of the IPC.

In a bid to improve the condition of hostels, the Panjab University Student Council has finally prepared report cards of boys hostels. Report cards of girls hostels too will soon be ready. The endeavour, which was announced a month back, aims at getting the varsity authorities acquainted with hostellers’ feedback and making them answerable for the subsequent lapses.

Caught in a catch 22 situation after a relative of the DIG found her ornaments missing at a beauty parlour, the Panchkula police is now looking for ways to locate the missing jewellery. While the owner of the parlour was ready to compensate the loss, the complainant, however, was not ready to compromise and insisted upon getting the same jewellery back.
