It was an emotional homecoming for the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, to his alma mater as the Panjab University (PU) today honoured one of its most distinguished alumni with its highest honour — Doctor of Laws (honoris causa).

FM says stimulus to stay
New Delhi, November 3
Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee today said the fiscal stimulus measures would continue till the economy recovers fully and that inflation was not an issue of immediate concern.

Koda hospitalised as I-T raids continue

As raids continued on his premises, former Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda, who is being grilled by the Income Tax officials in connection with alleged hawala transactions, was today admitted to a hospital here after he complained of high blood pressure and stomach ache.
