One dies after fire engulfs building

A 40-year-old man died at a hospital here late last night after being asphyxiated in a fire at a building in Field Ganj that occurred at around 11:30 pm. The victim, who has been identified as Sharwan, was evacuated by firefighters through a window by placing a bamboo ladder and was rushed to the hospital where doctors failed to save his life.
