Highway blocked as truck overturns

The Chandigarh-Patiala highway remained blocked for nearly two hours after a truck overturned near Banur today. Cranes were pressed into service to clear the blocked but this worsened the situation further.

Docs to get 25 pc allowance

PCMS doctors will get 25 per cent non-practicing allowance on revised pay scales for this month. All drawing and disbursing officers throughout the state have been advised to pay the bills accordingly, claimed PCMS Association here today.

Jai Prakash, a resident of Ballo Majra colony, died in an accident on last night.
According to the police, He was on a motorcycle when he met with an accident
opposite Sunny Enclave at around 10 pm. By the time a cop reached for his
rescue, he had already died.
