Dehradun, June 4
To ascertain the reasons behind BJP's debacle in the recently concluded parliamentary elections, the party leadership has constituted ten teams, which would prepare a detailed report of all the 70 assembly segments.

Every team would cover seven assembly constituencies.

Notably, out of 70 assembly segments, BJP trailed in 52 constituencies, which clearly shows the anti-incumbency factor against the state government.

The decision to constitute the teams was taken during a high-level meeting of the BJP leaders held at the party's headquarters in Dehradun today.

Besides state office-bearers, district presidents and other senior leaders in the organisation, the meeting was attended by the Chief Minister BC Khanduri, BJP state president Bachi Singh Rawat, party's incharge and co-incharge for Uttarakhand Krishan Murari Moghe and Dr Anil Jain, respectively, and senior leaders, including Manohar Kant Dhyani, Balraj Passi and Puran Chand Sharma.

Divulging details, BJP state general secretary Tirath Singh Rawat said the teams have been constituted for collecting feedback from all the assembly segments, analysing the results, voting pattern, trends and performance of the party workers at the booth level.

"The teams will draft a detailed report, which will be submitted to the state president," he said.

Among other issues discussed during the meeting was the strategy for the upcoming Vikasnagar byelection.
