Youth’s body recovered from well
Mullanpur Dakha, November 18
The decomposed body of a youth was recovered from a tubewell at Mandiani village last evening. The victim has been identified as Surinder Singh (24) of Mandiani village. He had been missing from his home since Diwali night.

Gang of thieves busted; 7 held
Ludhiana, November 18
The city police busted an inter-state gang of nickel thieves by arresting its seven members from Dugri last night. The gang had committed around 35 robberies. According to CIA-I in charge Gurbans Bains, the accused used to steal nickel from various units and sell it at low price in the market.

Thirteen new national records were created on the second day of 16th IBSA National Sports Meet for the Blind here today. Punjab lad Gurvir Singh continued with his dominance in the Men B1 400m as he created a new national record in the heats with a timing of 1:03.69s.

Disability no handicap for Tripatpal

Disability is not a deterrent for Tripatpal Singh. For he set a new national record in discus throw during the ongoing 16th IBSA National Sports Meet for the Blind. Belonging to a B-3 category, he broke the previous record of K. Chandreasekar (21.73 m) of Chennai by throwing it to a distance of 27.84 m.
