Amarinder reposes faith in judiciary

Former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh today said the Supreme Court’s stay on the proposed byelection to the Patiala Assembly constituency vindicated  his faith in the country’s judiciary. In a statement released by his supporter Jeet Mohinder Singh Sidhu on his behalf here, Amarinder claimed that the SAD-BJP government was desperate to rush through the byelection to the Patiala Assembly segment with the sole motive of keeping him away from the state legislature. — TNS
