Dist admn to go green this I-Day

Three-month pension for PAU retirees

Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) has decided to release pension to its pensioners for three months in the next few days. According to sources, one of PAU’s fixed deposit (FD) plans of approximately Rs 6 crore is going to be matured on June 28.

Balanced diet must to avoid cancer, says scientist
Ludhiana, June 26
Dr Jairam Vanamala from the department of food science and human nutrition, Colorado State University, USA, delivered special lectures at the PAU today. In his first lecture on functional foods and colon cancer prevention, he said nearly 60 per cent people were obese and this could led to diseases like cancer, diabetes and cardiac problems.

Uttrakhand defeat M’rashtra to win cup

Handball trials for Punjab probables
