Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in Uttarkhand, at a few places in east Rajasthan and at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, west Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in he rest of the region.
Chief amount of rainfall in cm are: Haryana: Sirsa 5 and Fatehabad 1, Himachal Pradesh: Palampur 4, Baijnath 2 and Solan 1, Jammu and Kashmir: Udhampur 1, East Rajasthan: Udaipur city 5, Udaipur A.P. 2 and mount Abu 1 and East Uttar Pradesh: Lucknow 6. Temperature: The maximum temperatures rose markedly in Jammu and Kashmir, rose appreciably in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and east Rajasthan, fell appreciably in west Uttar Pradesh and Uttarkhand fell in Haryana and changed little elsewhere. They were markedly below normal in Haryana and west Uttar Pradesh, appreciably below normal in west Rajasthan and Uttarkhand, below normal in east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 44.1°C recorded at Hamirpur (Uttar Pradesh).
Forecast valid until the morning of June 6: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarkhand and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Isolated dust storm/thunderstorm is likely over the rest of the region. Isolated thundersqualls are likely in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarkhand.
Outlook for the subsequent two days: Isolated to scattered rain/thundershowers likely to continue over the region.
