Arushi murder
Rajesh Talwar undergoes lie-detector test

New Delhi, June 4
Rajesh Talwar, accused in the Noida twin murder case involving his daughter Arushi, was today subjected to polygraph (lie) test by the CBI, which has formed 10 different teams to look into various aspects of the probe.

CBI, which took over the investigations of the case on June 1, said the agency carried out the lie-detector test of Talwar after his consent.

Coming out with a statement for the first time after it took over the probe into the sensational double murders of 14-year-old girl Arushi and domestic help Hemraj, the CBI said the agency had picked up blood samples which were ‘still’ present at the scene of crime.

Besides the blood samples, the CBI also picked up suspected finger prints, palm prints, blood-soaked blanket found on the body of Arushi and some more clothes with blood stains on them.

CBI director Vijay Shanker along with officials and forensic experts from AIIMS and forensic laboratory reviewed the case during which the scene of crime and available forensic evidence were discussed.

Analysis of the postmortem report was also done. — PTI
