Original file of Sarabjit missing, claims sister

The original file pertaining to the case of Sarabjit Singh has been missing from the official record of Pakistan, which resulted in awarding death penalty to him due to mistaken identity. This revelation was made by Dalbir Kaur on her return from Pakistan after meeting her brother in Kot Lakhpat Rai jail.

Amritsar (South) Bypoll
Bolaria is SAD candidate
Amritsar, April 29
Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal today announced that Inderbir Singh Bolaria, a municipal councillor, and son of Raminder Singh Bolaria, the former Akali MLA whose death had necessitated the bypoll, would be the official candidate for the forthcoming Amritsar (South) bypoll, scheduled for May 22.

AIG, SP get bail as CBI fails to present challan
Patiala, April 29
Punjab police assistant inspector-general (AIG-Housing) Davinder Singh Garcha and Ropar SP Paramdip Singh Sandhu, both accused in the Moga sex scandal, have been granted regular bail by special judge, CBI, H.S. Madaan, as the CBI failed to submit challan against them within the stipulated period of 60 days.
