Kundanpuri flooded

The streets of Kundanpuri, near Budda Nullah, were today flooded with dirty nullah water.
The MC authorities claimed that it was because residents were dumping garbage in the
nullah. A cleaning operation was launched in the area and desilting of the nullah was ordered.

The Punjabi Sahitya Akademy, Punjabi Bhawan, has hailed the two resolutions passed in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha recently. Punjabi writer and president of the akademy Dr Surjit Patar, Ravinder Bhatal and Gurbhajjan Gill appreciated the move to make Punjabi teaching compulsory in all schools up to matriculation level and to strictly implement Punjabi in the government offices for all official work.
