Bihari Lal (42), a member of a brass band party of Jodhewal Basti, Ludhiana, was killed and four of his associates hurt, when a tempo ( Tata 207 number HP 12 A 84444) carrying them overturned near Mannewal village near here last night. The injured were identified as Prem Kumar, Ram Saroop, Ballu and Rajesh. They were shifted to civil hospital by  the police.

Seven get jail for murder bid

Additional session judge A.K.Mehta has sentenced five years rigorous imprisonment to Karnail Singh and four years rigorous imprisonment to Mohanjit Singh, Naib Singh, Jarnail Singh, Gurnam Singh, Mukhtiar Singh and Darshan Singh on the charges of attempt to murder case.
