Unidentified persons armed with sharp-edged weapons injured three persons, including two employees of a liquor vender, and snatched a scooter and Rs 13,500 in cash from the victims in two incidents during past 24 hours.

The CJM, Rajinder Aggarwal, has sentenced Surinder Singh, owner of Anand Flour Mill, Gobind Colony, Jamalpur, to six months imprisonment under the Prevention of Food Adulteration Act. He was also ordered to pay a fine of Rs 1,000.
