Proposed Bill on kids make leaders restless

Jammu, January 7
A Former Education Minister and Panthers Party leader, Mr Harshdev Singh, has decided to place a private members Bill before the assembly that debars leaders having more than two children from contesting the assembly elections.

In case, the assembly adopts the Bill it will create trouble for many senior leaders cutting across the party lines as most of them more than two children. However, a few senior legislators along with young MLAs having more than two children are unlikely to extend their support to it.

Apart from this the minister has already made his party’s stand on delimitation of the constituencies clear by saying that it should be aimed at rectifying the political imbalance between regions and not to further widen the gulf. — OC
