Rainfall: Rain/snow has occurred at most places in Jammu and Kashmir, at many places in Himachal Pradesh and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in Haryana, at a few places in Punjab and at isolated places in west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitation in cms are: Haryana: Narnaul 1,
Himachal Pradesh: Solangnala 2 and Jammu and Kashmir: Banihal, Katra and Pahalgam 2 each and Batote and Quazigund 1 each.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures fell markedly in Himachal Pradesh, fell appreciably in Punjab and west Rajasthan, fell in Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal, rose in east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were appreciably above normal in Rajasthan, above normal in Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 5°C recorded at Amritsar.

Forecast valid until the morning of December 29: Rain/snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change. Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of December 29: Fog in the late night/morning. Mainly clear sky later. The minimum temperature will be around 7°C.
