Doctor accused of fraud, denied bail

A homoeopathic doctor, running a nursing home near Jalandhar bypass here, booked under various sections of IPC for cheating, misrepresentation and fabrication of documents, along with Section 15 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, has been denied anticipatory bail by the sessions court.
Man falls into dry well, rescued

Postal employees hold dharna

Led by activists of the Joint Council of Action of Service Union, postal employees today held a day-long dharna at the Divisional headquarters of Ludhiana City Division at Head Post Office in Bharat Nagar Chowk here to press their pending demands.
