Rainfall: Weather was mainly dry over the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures change little.

Departure: This was appreciably above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan, above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 40.7°C recorded at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures rose in east Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were appreciably above normal in east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh, above normal in west Rajasthan, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 18.6°C recorded at Swai Madhopur (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of October 3: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in southeast Rajasthan and southwest Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of October 3: Mainly Clear Sky likely to become partly cloudy with possibility of light rain/thundry development towards afternoon/evening in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 36°C and 23°C respectively.
