Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in Himachal Pradesh, at a few places in east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Haryana: Kalka 1, Himachal Pradesh: Sundernagar 8, Guler and Kasol 6 each, Nagrotasurian, Pandoh and Sujanpurtira 5 each, Shimla 3, Nadaun and Sunibhaji 2 each and Ghamroor 1, Jammu and Kashmir: Katra 15 and Basholi 2, Punjab: Ranjitsagar Dam 10, Shahpurkandi 5 and Madhopur 3, East Uttar Pradesh: Kakrahi 11, Bansi 9, Balrampur 5, Regoli 3, Basti, Birdghat, Bhinga and Gorakhpur 2 each and Turtipar 1 and Uttaranchal: Rishikesh 4 and Dehra Dun and Marora 1 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of September 12: Rain/thundershowers are likely at many places in Himachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Jammu division of Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in northeast Haryana, Kashmir division of Jammu and Kashmir and northeast Punjab.
