Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at most places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh, at many places in west Rajasthan, at a few places in Uttaranchal and at isolated places in the rest of the region.

The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Tohana 8, Chirag Delhi 7, Hissar 6, Ayanagar, Fatehabad, Gurgaon, New Delhi (Palam and Safdarjung) 5 each, Bahadurgarh and Jind 4 each, Delhi Ridge, Dhansa, Dubwali, Dadritoye, Kalka, Loharu, Rania and Sohna 3 each, Hodal, Julana, Kharkhauda, Kaithal, Narwana, Pataudi and Sirsa 2 each and Chandigarh, Guhla, Panipat and Rewari 1 each, Himachal Pradesh: Khairi 15, Chauraha 10, Chamba 7, Paonta 5, Berthin 4, Ghamroor, Kahu, Nagrotasurian and Sujanpurtira 3 each, Barsar, Guler, Kasol, Nadaun, Shimla and Sunibhaji 2 each and Pandoh and Sundernagar 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Batote 17, Bhaderwah 13, Banihal and Katra 12 each, Jammu, Pahalgam and Quazigund 8 each, Bhoond and Patti 6 each, Basoli 5, Srinagar 3 and Kupwara 2, Punjab: Amritsar 14, Madhopur 7, Shahpurkandi 6, Balachaur and Ranjitsagardam 3 each, Ludhiana and Nangal 2 each and Patiala 1, East Rajasthan: Jhalawar 12, Kota and Pilani 3 each and Ajmer 2, East Uttar Pradesh: Kanpur, Mohana and Neemsar 1 each, West Uttar Pradesh: Auriya 7, Ankinghat and Etawah 5 each, Fatehgarh and Gomatia 4 each, Dabri 3, Agra, Bareilly, Jhansi, Mathura, Moradabad and Narora 2 each and Kalpi 1 and Uttaranchal: Bausan 4 and Haripur 1.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of September 4: Generally cloudy sky with intermittent rain. One or two spells may be heavy.
