Affiliated schools decry hike in rechecking fee
Our Correspondent

Ludhiana, June16
The Association of Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) Affiliated Schools has decried the hike in re-checking fee of matriculation and plus two classes. In a meeting held at Mohali yesterday, the president of Association, Mr Rajinder Bhandari, said earlier the fee was Rs 100 but the board increased it to Rs 400 all of a sudden.

“This was a burden on the parents of poor students. It is unfortunate that the board had failed to make available certain books of sixth, seventh and eighth standard to students whereas the session had begun a month before the summer vacations. This way, students will not be able to cope up with the syllabus”, said Mr Rajinder Sharma. He further added that rather than re-checking the papers, the board should get the answer-sheets re-evaluated as is the practical in the university.

Mr Bhandari said the association would also submit a memorandum to the president of the board in his regard.
