Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose appreciably in Uttaranchal, rose in Himachal Pradesh, fell appreciably in Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

They were largely above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan, largely below normal in east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 47.2°C recorded at Hisar (Haryana).
