Docs to wear black badges

The Patiala branch of the Indian Medical Association, at its executive body meeting held here late yesterday, has decided to wear black badges from tomorrow in protest against police excesses committed on agitating medical students in New Delhi and other states who are protesting against reservation for OBCs in higher education.

Action against man for fabricating story

Head Constable, Home Guard jawan booked

The Patiala police has booked Head Constable Amritpal Singh and a Home Guard jawan Gian Chand under Sections 366 and the Prevention of Corruption Act.
The two were produced before a Duty Magistrate who sent them in police remand
till May 16 after a case was made out against them at the Kotwali police station

2 die in road mishaps
