Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose markedly in Himachal Pradesh, rose in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, appreciably above in Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan, above normal in Haryana and Punjab and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 45.0°C recorded at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of May 7: Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Isolated duststorm/thunderstorm are likely in Haryana, east Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of May 7: Mainly clear sky likely to become partly cloudy during evening/night with possibility of thundery development accompanied with squall in some areas. The maximum temperature will be around 43°C.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi forecast valid until the morning of May 7: Development of thunderclouds is likely at a few places. Squall with wind speed exceeding 65 kmph is likely at isolated places.
