Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at most places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, at a few places in Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana and Punjab. Weather was dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures fell appreciably in west Rajasthan, fell in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were appreciably above normal in Haryana, Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, above normal in Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh, appreciably below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and below normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 42.9C recorded at Jhansi (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of April 12: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region. Isolated thunder squalls are likely in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of April 12: Partly cloudy sky with the possibility of thundry development accompanied with squall in some areas. The maximum temperature will be around 37oC.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
