Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. Bhaderwah and Pahalgam (Jammu and Kashmir) each recorded 1 cm of rainfall.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures fell appreciably in Himachal Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were appreciably above normal in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Rajasthan, above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 39.7°C recorded at Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of April 5: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of April 5: Partly cloudy sky. The maximum temperature will be around 37°C.
