Wheat farmers fear heavy losses
Mandi Ahmedgarh, March 23
Farmers of this area may suffer heavy losses as wheat crop standing in thousands of acres has been affected by sun drying, microbes and weeds, which have been flourishing due to humidity and high temperature.

Denied holiday, students observe protest
Ludhiana, March 23
Responding to a call given by the Ludhiana Students Union, a large number of students of several local colleges, including a section of PAU students, today abstained from their classes and held a protest demonstration over denial of gazetted holiday on the martyrdom day of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev here.
