Vijay Kumar is one of the thousands of educated youths who prefer to take up a profession not commensurate with their educational qualifications than to starve. He tried his luck in Punjab after he was told by one of his friends that a majority of Punjabis avoided, manual labour. Son of a farmer of Kandhya village in Fatehpur district in UP, Vijay Kumar completed postgraduate diploma in computers from UP.

Parking lots auctioned amid tight security

Following orders of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation today auctioned five parking lots in Feroze Gandhi market, which fetched an amount of Rs 70.5 lakh as compared to last year’s price of around Rs 32 lakh.

Discourage religion-based politics, says Ramoowalia
