Stage set for VAT implementation in UT
Chandigarh, November 24
Value Added Tax will finally be implemented in Chandigarh. The ongoing winter session of Parliament is expected to give a formal clearance.
The implementation of VAT had been held up in Chandigarh, as it was, so far,
governed by the Punjab General Sales Tax Act, 1952.
