Skin treatments

The Kaya Skin Clinic, a venture of the Marico Industries Limited, highlighted the new range

of highly specialised skin care treatments being offered at its Model town branch here.

Elaborating on the unique combination of medical as well as beauty treatments, Dr Sunita Tagra, dermatologist with the clinic, said the highly specialised treatments like botox, fillers, glycolic peel, treatment of acne, pigmentation, sun spots, ageing and remedy for photo ageing, skin polishing, brightening, and use of special Nd YAG laser for removal of unwanted hair, were all customised to meet the special requirements of the dusky Indian skin and were US FDA approved.

Speaking of her experiences with the clinic, model Ramneek Paintal said, “The medical counselling and the treatments to meet the specific requirements of the skin in a very peaceful hygienic environment made the Kaya experience a truly holistic one.”

Dr Tagra said the Kaya ‘Medispa’ had 41 clinics in India and Dubai with nine clinics in Mumbai and Delhi each, five in Bangalore, and also one each in Chandigarh, Amritsar, Ludhiana and now in Jalandhar.

Dance aerobics

Ozone The Bodi Hub, beauty and health saloon, has joined hands with choreographer Gugun Bedi to introduce dance aerobics for people who want to lose weight.

After the success in promoting the concept overseas, the initiative is aimed at enhancing the looks and overall well being of the people, says director Bodi Hub, Nidhi Sidhu.

The saloon has also launched a combination of fat reduction, firming, toning and special Ayurvedic, natural spa massages with dance forms like Salsa, Jazz, Tequila, and classical dances.

Gugun Bedi said dance aerobics is an entertaining way to lose weight.

Sports meet

A two-day annual sports meet of the CT Public School was held at the campus recently.

The meet was inaugurated by Mr Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman, CT Education Society.

Mr Manbir Singh, the society’s Managing Director and Ms Lakhwinder Kaur, the school Principal, Ms Parminder Kaur, Co-Chairperson, Mr S.S. Walia, Principal, College of Education, Dr Sayeed Zafar, Director, CTIMIT, Mr Deepak Pal, Principal, Hotel Management, Mr Manhar, Vice-Principal, Hotel Management and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.

Also present in the meet was Sardar Davinder Singh Garcha, a hockey Olympian.

The main events on the final day included ball drill, dumble display, hoop drill, Taekwondo, Kangaroo race, sack race and even a performance of bhangra. Performing in the event, the students of the school enthralled the audience.

Over 300 medals and prizes were awarded to the budding sportspersons. TNS
