Bitta to appeal against Bittu’s acquittal

Mr Maninderjit Singh Bitta, Chairman, All-India Anti-Terrorist Front (AIATF), today accused a section of the Punjab police of not contesting the murder case against militants, Daljit Singh Bittu and Gursharan Singh Gama, in the Supreme Court. He said he would file an appeal against their acquittal by that court.
Change 1861 Police Act, says DGP

Girl’s disappearance case: DGP asked to constitute SIT

Punjabi varsity youth festival concludes

Punjabi University, Patiala, of Patiala Zone won the overall title with 49 points as the three-day annual Inter-Zonal Punjabi University Youth Festival concluded here today. Government College for Girls, Patiala, was second with 33 points while Government Brijindra College, Faridkot, finished third with 22 points.
Children’s Day function put off
