Fearing largescale smuggling of arms to poll-bound Bihar from neighbouring Nepal, security forces have intensified vigil across the porous Indo-Nepal border in West Champaran district here.

Girl allegedly raped in Toofan Express

A girl travelling in the Delhi-Howrah Toofan Express train was today found in a semi-conscious state at Madhupur in Deogar district and it is suspected that she was raped, a senior railway police official said today.

Mid-day meal makes 25 students sick
Kaithal, September 13
As many as 25 students and two Class IV employees of Government Primary School, Pinjupura, in Kalayat block of this district, fell sick after consuming ‘poisonous’ food today. As many as 14 of those who fell sick were rushed to the local civil hospital. They were admitted to the emergency ward in the hospital.
