Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm. are: Himachal Pradesh: Kasol 1, East Uttar Pradesh: Varanasi 1, and Uttaranchal: Uttarkashi 4, Joshimath and Kalagarh 3 each and Dehra Dun 2.

Forecast valid until the morning of September 5: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the mornng of September 5: Partly cloudy sky with the possibility of thundry development in some areas.
