Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have been reported at many places in east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and west Rajasthan. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Punjab: Ludhiana 1, East Rajasthan: Bhungra, Ghatol, Jayal and Merta 3 each, Ajmer, Bagidora, Banswara, Didwara, Khivensar, Nithuwa, Pratapgarh, Sajangarh and Sarada 2 each and Digana, Hurda, Jagpura, Kushalgarh, Nagaur and Nasirabad 1 each, West Rajasthan: Dungargarh 3 and Uttaranchal: Mukteshwar 1.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures fell in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed a little elsewhere. Departure: This was appreciably below normal in Punjab, below normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 46°C recorded at Jhalawar (Rajasthan). Forecast valid until the morning of June 11: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Uttaranchal. Isolated duststorm/thunderstorm is likely in Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Isolated thundersqualls are likely in Haryana and Punjab.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of June 11: Mainly clear sky with dust haze. Dust storm/thunderstorm accompanied with squall is likley in some areas towards evening/night. The maximum temperature will be around 40°C.
