ARRESTED: Daya Rani and her son Kundan Lal Soni were arrested by the Sadulshehar police for allegedly selling smack here on Monday. Sources said the police recovered 418 gm of opium and 52 gm of smack from them. Both were arrested under Sections 8/18 and 8/21 of the NDPS Act. FOUR HELD: Four persons have been booked by the Sadar police under the Cow Slaughter Act. Sheesh Pal, a son of Mangla Ram, of Gobindgarh village, 5 km from here, complained to the police that three cows, including one owned by him, had been poisoned to death. Investigation indicated that skin dealers, Tara Chand and Ramji Lal, had allegedly joined hands with Vijay Kumar and Mattu of the Zohri Mandir road here in lifting dead animals. The Sadar police confirmed that Tara Chand and Ramji Lal were arrested on Tuesday evening.
