Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures fell in Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: This was appreciably below normal in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab, below normal in Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 43.0 °C recorded at Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of May 13: Isolated rain/thundershowers are likely in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of May 13: Mainly clear sky with dust haze. The maximum temperature will be around 39°C.
