Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose in Himachal Pradesh, fell in Haryana and changed a little elsewhere. Departure: They were below normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 40.6°C recorded at Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of April 29: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana and Punjab. Isolated duststorm/thunderstorm is likely in Uttar Pradesh and east Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in west Rajasthan.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of April 29: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of thundry development/light rain accompanied with squall in some areas. The maximum temperature will be around 37°C.
