Rainfall: Rain/snow has occurred at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose appreciably in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab, rose in west Rajasthan, fell appreciably in east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, appreciably below normal in Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Punjab and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 31.9°C at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures fell in east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were normal over the region. The lowest minimum temperature in the plains was 9.6°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of March 14: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of March 14: Mainly clear sky. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 28°C and 14°C, respectively.
