Temperatures:The maximum: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose appreciably in west Uttar Pradesh and rose in east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were appreciably above normal in east Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, above normal in west Rajasthan, below normal in Punjab and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the plains was 35.4°C recorded at Udaipur A.P. (Rajasthan).

Departures: They were markedly above normal in east Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Punjab and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest minimum temperature in the plains was 8.6°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).
