Rainfall: Rain/snow has occurred at many places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Haryana. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitation in cm. are: Jammu and Kashmir: Quazigund 1.

Temperatures:The maximum: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose appreciably in west Uttar Pradesh and rose in east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were appreciably above normal in east Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, above normal in west Rajasthan, below normal in Punjab and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the plains was 35.4°C recorded at Udaipur A.P. (Rajasthan).

Minimum: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were markedly above normal in east Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Punjab and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest minimum temperature in the plains was 8.6°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of March 3: Rain/snow will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at a few places in Uttaranchal. Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Haryana and Punjab and at isolated places in Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of March 3: Partly cloudy sky with the possibility of thundry development/light rain in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 27°C and 13°C, respectively.

Farmers’ weather bulletin for Delhi forecast valid until the morning of March 3: Light rain is likely at a few places.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
