Rainfall: Rain/snow has occurred at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in west Rajasthan. Weather was maiinly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitation in cms. are: Jammu and Kashmir: Batote 2 and Banihal and Quazigund 1 each.

Temperatures: Past hours change: Minimum temperatures fell in Uttaranchal, rose appreciably in west Rajasthan, rose in Punjab, east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were appreciably above normal in west Rajasthan, above normal in east Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 5.8°C recorded at Hindon A.P. (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of 7 February: Rain/snow will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at a few places in Uttaranchal. Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Haryana and Punjab. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of 7 February: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of thundry development/light rain in some areas. Mist in the morning. Minimum temperature will be around 8°C.
