Rainfall: Rain/snow has occurred at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose appreciably in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, rose in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were appreciably below normal in east Uttar Pradesh, below normal in west Uttar Pradesh, appreciably above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, above normal in Himachal Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 3.2°C recorded at Churu (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of December 30: Rain/snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Punjab. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region. Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid untl the morning of December 30: Partly cloudy sky. Fog till forenoon. Minimum temperature will be around 6°C.
