Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell markedly in Punjab, fell appreciably in Haryana and west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. Departures: These were appreciably below normal in Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 1.3°C recorded at Amritsar.

Forecast valid until the morning of December 28: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of December 28: Mainly clear sky. Strong surface winds likely during day time. Mist in the morning. Minimum temperature will be around 7°C.
