Continuing with their winning spree, local Kundan Vidya Mandir (KVM), Civil Lines, registered a convincing 38-run victory over DAV Public School, Amritsar, to secure a berth in the last four of the All-India Bhai Gobind Singh Pasricha Memorial
Cricket Tournament being played at MGN School, Adarsh Nagar, Model Town, Jalandhar, today.
KVM won the toss and decided to bat. In the stipulated 25 overs, they made 171 for the loss of three wickets, with the main contributions coming from Bharat Malhotra and Sanchit. Bharat made 79 runs with the help of five hits to the fence and two sixes while Sanchit scored 43 runs. Geetansh Khaira remained unconquered at 25.
For DAV Public School, Amritsar, Jasmeet (1 for 12), Surinder Kumar (1 for 24) and Navdeep (1 for 36) were the successful bowlers.
KVM bowlers restricted their opponents to 133 runs with just one ball to spare. For Amritsar, only Navdeep (28), Satwant (13) and Harpartap (16) could reach the double figure. For the winners, Jiten Singhania (3 for 20), Vishal Marwaha (2 for 30) and Piyush (2 for 29) were the main wicket takers.
