Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in east Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir and east Rajasthan. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Himachal Pradesh: Solangnala 4, Baggi and Sundernagar 3 each and Rajgarh 1, east Rajasthan: Dug 3, Banera 2 and Begu, Galwania, Gangdhar, Gangapur, Ladpura, Mandal, Rawatbhata and Shahbad 1 each, east Uttar Pradesh: Bahraich 11, Balrampur 10, Chandradeepghat 7, Bhinga and Shardanagar 6 each, Ayodhya, Gonda and Kakardharighat 5 each, Katerniaghat 4, Basti and Palliakalan 3 each, Lucknow AP 2 and Bansi, Kakrahi and Khadda 1 each and Uttaranchal: Banbasa 6, Bausan and Pantnagar 4 each and Haripur 1.
