Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in east Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Haryana: Kalka 2, Jammu and Kashmir: Katra 1, east Uttar Pradesh: Chandradeepghat, Kanpur, Mukhlispur and Raebareli 4 each, Adyodhya and Gonda 3 each, Allahabad, Kakardharighat and Mirzapur 2 each and Bansi, Birdghat, Balrampur, Elgin bridge, Jaunpur, Lucknow (control room) and Turtipar 1 each, west Uttar Pradesh: Moradabad 3 and Ankinghat 2 and Uttaranchal: Haripur 18 and Mukteshwar 3.
