Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at many places in East Rajasthan and at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and west Rajasthan. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: New Delhi (Safdarjung) 5, Delhi Ridge 4 and Guhla 1; East Rajasthan: Baran 11, Galwania 10, Chhabra 9, Magrol 8, Dheelbandh 7, Bassi, Galwa and Kishanganj 6 each, Anta, Bhadoli, Mansrowar, Ramgarh Dam and Shahpura 5 each, Boli and Sawaimadhopur 4 each, Bari, Lalsot, Pilani, Roopwas and Urmilasagar 3 each, and Angai, Jhalwar, Kumher, Niwai and Tikria 2 each; East Uttar Pradesh: Balarampur 8, Ayodhya and Rae Bareilly 7 each, Dalmau 5, Ankinghat 4, Basti, Bansi, Birdghat, Gorakhpur, Kakrahi, Lucknow and Sultanpur 3 each, Allahabad, Bhatpurwaghat and Neemsar 2 each, and Katerniaghat, Kanpur and Varanasi A.P. 1 each; West Uttar Pradesh: Bareilly 13, Dabri 7 and Moradabad 4; and Uttaranchal: Pantnagar 3, Banbasa and Mukteshwar 2 each, and Rudraprayag and Tehri 1 each.
