Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers occurred at many places in Himachal Pradesh, at a few places in Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Himachal Pradesh: Kahu 5, Kasol 4, Ghamroor, Guler, Nadaun and Sundernagar 2 each and Barthin, Bangana and Shimla 1 each, Punjab: Gurdaspur 3 and Nangal 1, and East Uttar Pradesh: Allahabad 3.

Temperatures (past 24 hours change): Maximum temperatures fell appreciably in East Uttar Pradesh, rose appreciably in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and West Rajasthan, rose in the rest of the region. Departures: These were markedly below normal in East Uttar Pradesh, appreciably below normal in Haryana, Punjab, and West Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, East Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 41.7°C at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Forecast (valid until the morning of June 13): Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, East Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and West Uttar Pradesh. Dust storms, thunderstorms are likely in Rajasthan.
