The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Himachal Pradesh: Kahu 5, Kasol 4, Ghamroor, Guler, Nadaun and Sundernagar 2 each and Barthin, Bangana and Shimla 1 each, Punjab: Gurdaspur 3 and Nangal 1, and East Uttar Pradesh: Allahabad 3.

Maximum temperatures fell appreciably in East Uttar Pradesh, rose appreciably in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and West Rajasthan, rose in the rest of the region. Departures: These were markedly below normal in East Uttar Pradesh, appreciably below normal in Haryana, Punjab, and West Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, East Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 41.7°C at Barmer (Rajasthan).
